Taptap Send
Taptap Send UK Limited is authorised by the FCA as an electronic money institution under firm reference 900842 and is the UK arm of the Taptap Send remittance app. It was incorporated in October 2016 as Segovia Technology UK Limited and renamed in August 2019. The app sends money from countries where the group is licensed, including the UK, Belgium, the US, Canada, Australia and the UAE, to 74 destination countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. Payouts land in mobile money wallets such as M-Pesa and Airtel or in bank accounts, and the company says 95 percent of transfers to Kenya arrive in under a minute. The UK user agreement is explicit that the wallet and card must not be used for business or commercial purposes, so this is a consumer product and not a business banking option.
