Stripe Payments UK Limited
Stripe Payments UK Limited is the UK-registered, FCA-authorised electronic money institution inside the Stripe group, incorporated in 2013 and authorised since 2018 under FCA reference 900461. It is the entity Stripe uses to issue e-money, execute payments, remit money and acquire card transactions for merchants operating in the UK. It is not a bank, does not lend, and sits alongside separate Stripe entities that hold their own licences in Ireland and the United States for those markets. UK merchants use it mainly to accept card payments and move settlement funds through Faster Payments, BACS and CHAPS.
