Société Générale
Société Générale is France's third largest bank, with about 119,000 staff in 62 countries. It combines French retail banking (SG and BoursoBank), international retail in the Czech Republic, Romania and parts of Africa, and a corporate and investment bank. Its subsidiary SG-FORGE issues the EURCV and USDCV stablecoins under MiCA, and its banking-as-a-service arm Treezor issues accounts and cards for other fintechs. The group is stepping back from small-business fintech: it sold the freelancer neobank Shine to Ageras in December 2024 and entered exclusive talks in January 2026 to sell Treezor to Shares. It also sold eight African subsidiaries and its UK private bank in 2024 and 2025.
