Qatar National Bank is 50% owned by the Qatar Investment Authority and is the largest bank in the Middle East and Africa by assets. Total assets reached QAR 1.391 trillion (USD 382 billion) at the end of 2025 and net profit was QAR 17.0 billion. The group has more than 900 branches in 28 countries, with subsidiaries QNB Türkiye, QNB Egypt and QNB Tunisia and a 20% stake in Ecobank. Corporate accounts in Qatar need a Qatari commercial registration and forms signed in front of a bank representative. Qatar Central Bank prohibits banks from dealing in cryptocurrencies.
