Nationwide Trust Company, FSB
Nationwide Trust Company, FSB is a federal savings bank in Columbus, Ohio owned by the Nationwide insurance group. Nationwide's own retirement plan pages say that the Nationwide Group Retirement Series includes trust programs and trust services offered by Nationwide Trust Company, FSB, and a Nationwide press release names Nationwide as recordkeeper, custodian and corporate trustee for its RetireAssist Connect pooled plan. Its balance sheet shows what that means in practice. At 30 June 2026 it reported $153.6 million of assets, $61.7 million of equity and only $500 thousand of deposits, from a single office. It publishes no current account, no payment service, no card and no lending product. An employer meets it as the trustee of a 401(k), 403(b) or 457 plan, not as a bank that will hold operating money.
