M&T Bank has traded as Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company since 1856 and is the twenty-first largest bank in the United States, with USD 214.2 billion of consolidated assets and 972 domestic offices at 31 March 2026. It banks retail customers, small businesses, commercial and institutional clients across 12 eastern states and Washington DC, and owns Wilmington Trust for corporate and institutional trust work.
