Scores, 0 to 10

5.0Europe (EU, EEA, Switzerland)
A Cyprus electronic money institution passported to all EU member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under freedom to provide services, but with no branches and no operations outside Cyprus. · source
5.0Fintech companies that need a partner bank

5.0Online businesses: e-commerce and SaaS
Card acquiring for Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, UnionPay and JCB with the JCC Gateway, JCCsmart Checkout, 3D Secure 2.0, fraud management, pre-authorisation and instalments; but only for merchants established in Cyprus and with no multi-currency collection accounts. The JCC Gateway with 3D Secure 2.0, pre-authorisation and recurring SEPA direct debits can collect subscription revenue in Cyprus, but there is no USD or EUR receiving account elsewhere, no accounting integration and no financing. · source
5.0Financial strength & stability
Licensed by the Central Bank of Cyprus and owned by the island's banks with Bank of Cyprus holding control, which is a strong backstop, but it publishes no accounts, no capital figure and holds no credit rating. · source
4.0Fast digital onboarding
Merchant applications go through sales or a partner bank, and no online self-serve application or typical time to open is published. · source
4.0Business cards (Visa, Mastercard)
JCC issues credit and debit cards on behalf of banks and sells gift cards, but it does not offer a business card with spend controls that a company can apply for directly. · source
3.5Startups & VC-backed companies
A young company is treated as any merchant: there is no startup programme, no financing and no published path for a pre-revenue business. · source
3.0Crypto-friendly bank
JCC publishes no policy on crypto exchanges, brokers or miners anywhere in its merchant or partner service pages. · source
3.0Cross-border payments, FX and multi-currency accounts
Dynamic currency conversion lets a cardholder pay in their own currency, but JCC publishes no cross-border payment product, no currency list and no FX margin. No multi-currency accounts, no cash pooling, no hedging; the treasury-facing function is merchant settlement and reconciliation reporting only. · source
3.0Lowest fees
Nothing is priced publicly: neither merchant service charges, terminal costs nor gateway fees appear on the business pages. · source
3.0Customer satisfaction
The only public score is an unclaimed Trustpilot profile for jccsmart.com at 2.9 out of 5 from three reviews, 67% of them one star, which is too small a sample to be representative. · source

No acceptable use or prohibited business policy covering gambling, cannabis, adult content or forex brokers is published on the site. · source
2.5Foreign-owned & non-resident companies

JCC holds merchant settlement funds and e-money, not deposits, and publishes no interest, savings or treasury product. · source

No letters of credit, guarantees, documentary collections or supply chain finance; JCC settles card transactions and does not lend. · source
1.5On-ramp: buy crypto with fiat
JCC is a card acquirer and processor with no way for a business to buy crypto, and a bank-data profile states it does not support crypto businesses or transactions; its own site has no crypto policy, so evidence is thin. · source
1.5Off-ramp: crypto to fiat in a business account
JCC settles card and e-money flows in fiat and offers no route for a company to turn crypto into euros, with the same third-party profile saying it does not support crypto transactions, checked September 2026. · source
