eToro (UK) Limited
eToro (UK) Limited is the UK arm of the eToro group and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under firm reference number 583263. It was incorporated in England on 2 March 2012 and its registered office is on the 24th floor of One Canada Square in Canary Wharf. It sells share dealing, stocks and shares ISAs, CFDs, copy trading and trading in more than 150 cryptoassets to individuals, and its terms classify every customer as a retail client. There is no business current account, no payment service for companies and no lending, so a company cannot use it as a bank. Client money is held in segregated accounts and is covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme up to GBP 85,000, but eToro does not pay interest on client money unless it agrees to do so separately. The global register calls it a virtual asset service provider with an electronic money and payment services licence; that is the wrong shape, because the group's electronic money entity is eToro Money UK Ltd and eToro (UK) Limited is an investment firm.
