Coinbase Singapore Pte. Ltd. holds a Major Payment Institution licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore for cross-border money transfer and digital payment token services, registered at 1 Raffles Quay. For a company the offer is split in two: Coinbase Business, aimed at startups and small firms that want to trade and take payment in crypto, and Coinbase Prime for institutions, which adds prime brokerage trading and financing, custody, staking and an institutional onchain wallet. It is an exchange and custodian, not a bank: there is no deposit protection, no credit facility and no payroll or supplier payment product.
