Citigroup
Citigroup is a US G-SIB with USD 2.62 trillion in assets, about 229,000 employees and a physical presence in 90+ markets. Its Services division runs cash management, payments, trade and securities services for roughly 19,000 institutional clients, moving close to USD 6 trillion a day. Between 2021 and 2025 it exited consumer banking in 13 Asian and European markets plus Mexico and UK retail, so small-business accounts exist only in its US branch states. CitiBusiness Streamlined Checking costs USD 15 a month, waived at a USD 5,000 balance. Citi Token Services moves tokenized deposits 24/7 and bitcoin custody for institutions is planned for late 2026.
