bunq is a Dutch bank licensed by De Nederlandsche Bank in 2014 that serves personal and business customers living in 24 EEA countries. At the end of 2025 it held EUR 9.05 billion in total assets, EUR 8.43 billion in customer deposits, and it reported 22 million users and 665 staff at year end. Business plans run from EUR 0 per month for sole traders to EUR 23.99 per month for Elite Business, and give up to 25 bank accounts with their own IBANs plus payments priced in 20 currencies. The business terms place crypto firms, payment firms and other financial-service providers outside bunq's risk appetite, and crypto companies are reviewed only case by case. On 6 May 2025 DNB fined bunq EUR 2.6 million for insufficient customer due diligence, and bunq appealed that decision on 24 November 2025.
