Bluevine is an American financial technology company, not a bank. It sells business checking accounts to small United States companies, with the money held at Coastal Community Bank and insured up to USD 3,000,000 per depositor through a sweep network of program banks. The checking account pays 1.3% APY on the free Standard plan when monthly activity goals are met, and 3.0% APY on all balances on the paid Premier plan. Bluevine also lends: a revolving line of credit up to USD 250,000. It started in 2013 as an invoice factoring company and was one of the larger fintech originators of Paycheck Protection Program loans in 2020 and 2021.

The application is entirely online and Bluevine publishes a separate eligibility page for United States businesses with international owners, but it does not publish a typical time to open. · source
6.5Business cards (Visa, Mastercard)
Physical and virtual Business Debit Mastercards with spending limits for team members, issued by Coastal Community Bank; there is no credit card programme. · source

There is a dedicated startup page offering the high APY account, accounts payable automation and access to credit, but the line of credit tops out at USD 250,000 and is underwritten on trading history. · source
5.0Online businesses: e-commerce and SaaS
Invoicing and payment links let merchants get paid, and inbound international payments arrive in as fast as 24 hours, but Bluevine offers no card acquiring and no collection accounts outside US dollars. US dollar checking with accounting integrations and invoicing suits a United States software company, but there are no foreign-currency receiving accounts and no revenue-based financing. · source
5.0Financial strength & stability
Privately held with no published accounts and about 100 jobs cut in December 2024 in a second round of layoffs in six months; customer money sits with FDIC-insured partner banks rather than with Bluevine. · source
4.0Cross-border payments, FX and multi-currency accounts
International payments cost up to USD 25 per payment in US dollars plus up to 1.5% of the amount when sent in a foreign currency, and no list of payout currencies is published. 3.0On-ramp: buy crypto with fiat

3.0Off-ramp: crypto to fiat in a business account
Bluevine accepts unlimited free domestic wires and ACH, but it restricts crypto businesses and publishes no source-of-funds process for exchange proceeds, so a company receiving crypto sale money has no clear path; evidence is thin. · source
