Bitpanda GmbH is a Vienna-based trading platform, founded in 2014, that lets retail and business customers buy, sell and hold cryptocurrencies, stocks, ETFs, and precious metals from a single app. The parent entity itself is licensed by Austria's FMA as a crypto-asset service provider under the EU's MiCAR framework since April 2025; its group's separate electronic money and payment-institution licences sit with a sister company, Bitpanda Payments GmbH. The company serves 7.4 million users and reported EUR 371 million of adjusted revenue in 2025, up 16% year over year, as it invests ahead of a planned Frankfurt stock exchange listing.
