Axos Bank is a fully digital, branchless bank chartered as a California state savings bank and headquartered in San Diego. It launched as a digital bank on 4 July 2000 and reported 28.9 billion dollars in total assets to the FDIC as of 30 June 2026. Its parent, Axos Financial Inc, trades on the NYSE as AX and also owns Axos Clearing and Axos Invest. Axos serves consumers and businesses nationwide with checking, treasury management, commercial lending and industry-specific programs for title, escrow and property-management companies, but excludes cryptocurrency, cannabis and internet-gambling businesses and requires business signers to be US residents with a Social Security number.
